Hello those from Red Shirt Digital and Go Atlanta Hosting! Welcome to Pinwheel Web Development, I’m the owner Ash Davenport and I would like to introduce you to Pinwheel and how to get started.

Who Are We

What is Pinwheel?

Pinwheel Web Development is a web design firm founded by Ash Davenport (you may know them as Auston Davenport) that is focused on protecting the planet and providing excellent service at a competitive cost.

We are located in Jasper, Georgia and we founded Pinwheel Web Development as a way to change the face of web design, hosting and digital marketing. These fields go unnoticed in their carbon footprint along with the businesses we serve. We stand to change that and help fight for a greener planet.

What do I do Now?

There are a few things we need you to do to get you onboarded to our billing system. Below are some simple steps for you to take, then we’ll handle the rest.

Step One: Make Your Account

10 Minutes

Our first goal will be to get you registered on our billing system. Don’t worry we use the same system as Go Atlanta Hosting so you will be right at home.

  1. First, visit our Client Area, and in the top right click “Account” then “Register“.
  2. Next, enter your Billing Information and click “Register”.
  3. Check your email for a confirmation email and click the link to activate your account.
  4. Your account is created! Now let’s add payment information.

Step Two: Add Billing Information

5 Minutes

Next we need to add a payment method. We support Credit/Debit card, Stripe ACH, Mail in Payment and for enterprise/reseller customers Direct Bank Transfer. Below are instructions for Credit/Debit card.

  1. In the Client Area, at the top bar, go to “Billing” then “Payment Methods”.
  2. Click “Add New Credit Card“.
  3. Enter a Description (Used to identify the card in our system), your card information, billing address, and click “Save Changes”.
  4. Finally, your card will now be ready.

Pricing:

  • We follow a very similar pricing structure to Go Atlanta Hosting and Red Shirt Digital so most will not see a change in their pricing. Additionally, some users may be able to reduce their plans as we offer more resources on our base plans than what you are used to. Checkout our services for more details.
  • Price change: If your service has a price chance, it will take place in 90 days.
  • Service Mapping: (Here is what you will be moved to based on your current plan.
    • Shared Hosting:
      • Basic Hosting -> Basic Hosting (No Price Change) <- This is probably what you will be using.
      • Pro Hosting -> Pro Hosting (+$5/month)
      • Advanced Hosting -> Advanced Hosting (+$8/month)
      • Ultimate Hosting -> We’ll Contact You
    • VPS Hosting:
      • Tier 1 Managed Cloud Server -> Starter VPS (No Price Change)
      • Tier 2 Managed Cloud Server -> Elite VPS (+$10/month)
      • Tier 3 Managed Cloud Server -> Ultimate VPS (+$5/month)
    • Reseller Hosting:
      • Reseller Tier 1 -> Tier 1 (+$5/month)
      • Reseller Tier 2 -> Tier 2 (+$20/month)

Step Three: Schedule Your Server Move

10 Minutes + 30 Minute Maintenance Window

Next, we need to move you to our New York data center which has faster servers, a faster connection to the USA, and is more reliable. This only requires a few minutes of your time but we may need some access from you.

  1. Please make sure you have access to your domain. You can find where your domain is registered here: https://lookup.icann.org/
  2. DO NOT send us your username and password, we will reach out to you with a secure method for gaining access, or instructions for you to follow.
  3. Next, schedule a preferred date, and two backup dates for all seperate dates.
  4. Finally, we will inform you when your server has been moved or if we need any additional information from you.

A few Notes:

  • If we do not have Domain Access, we will contact you for it. Please be responsive as we will have to cancel your maintenance window if we do not have the access we need.
  • You will be contacted via our ticketing system once our maintenance is completed.

We will try to move your website on your preferred migration date in the morning of the date you select (Eastern Time). However, if we experience technical difficulties or have an excessive amount of clients, we will defer you to another date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question about the move and what to expect?

What is my deadline to move?

We will be decomissioning the Go Atlanta Hosting and Red Shirt Digital servers at the end of March, 2025. We will make sure your site is moved before then.

If we are unable to reach you, it will be automatically moved and you will have until the end of 2025 to update your DNS records otherwise your website may go offline.

What if I have a VPS or Reseller Hosting?

You only need to register on our billing panel and setup payment. Your server will not need to be transfered.

What if I want to change plans or have questions about plans?

First, make an account on our Client Area, then Open a Ticket with our Billing department.

What if I don't want to switch?

We understand not everyone wants to switch to us. You’ll have until March 31st, 2025 to cancel your hosting and find a new provider.

Can I cancel my hosting with you after I start?

Yes, you can cancel your hosting at any time in our Client Area by following these steps.

Do I need to cancel my hosting with Go Atlanta Hosting?

No, once we start your transfer we will do the following:

  1. Terminate all active services with Go Atlanta Hosting.
  2. Delete any stored payment details.
  3. We’ll export your client data as a JSON file which can be converted to CSV or read by any text editor.
  4. We’ll email you a copy of your client data. It will be stored until March 31st, 2025. After then it will be deleted for data compliance reasons.
  5. Finally, your Go Atlanta Hosting account will be deactivated. (Deletion will occur after March 31st, 2025 or once all clients are moved. Which ever happens first.)

What if I have a service that isn't listed?

We’ll contact you and figure out the best comparable service we have to offer. Often we can transfer your service.

What if I paid yearly?

You won’t loose any time on your service! You will be migrated to monthly however once your next billing date arrives unless you request it with our billing department.

Will my billing date change?

No. If you are billed on the 20th of every month, we’ll adjust it in our system so you maintain the same billing date.
